*Sniff* ahhhh.... the fresh smell of harmful chemicals

Isn't it amazing how much time people spend cleaning their homes, trying to kill all the bacteria to keep their families safe? Happily spraying and wiping, leaving the room, satisfied with it's "nice, fresh, clean" smell. The irony is that they are doing more harm than good. Now they have deposited chemical residue all over their home and their family is now inhaling and ingesting it.

The marketers have it right, make people think bacteria is dangerous and our product will sale. A truly clean smell, is really NO smell.

www.Care2.com/channels/solutions/home/334 has some great recipes for all natural cleaners. If you have to have a fresh clean smell, add essential oils to your cleaners. You body and your earth will thank you for it.

AOL is a virus

I haven't been able to post recently (and I am not sure when I will be able to again). We had AOL on my home computer and I tried to uninstall it. Now, my computer has went haywire and I can't log into blogger :o(. Right now we are at my Father's house and I am on his PC. I will blog when I can until I can get it fixed. Anyone out there good with computers??????

I have decided to start doing "Thankful Thursday" instead of "Thursday Thirteen". It's more meaningful to me, and I have so much to be thankful for. This week was very simple to come up with what I am thankful for:

The kids playroom

My children's playroom is in need of serious help!! It is hard to organize because there isn't really any containers to put things in. It's crazy, everything is just setting in the floor because we only have a couple of boxes and no shelves for things. My darling husband decided he wanted to paint it. He started it but hasn't gone back in the room in about a month. I finally got tired of all their toys setting in my hall , so I just started tossing it back in the room. So now it looks like this....

In this one you can see were he started painting. This is as far as he got .....*sigh*.

Okay, I hate laundry! So my laundry room has gotten out of control. It has never been this bad. I can't believe I am even putting this photo up. After I finish I will put up the "after" photo. Stayed tuned......

All done whew, I feel so much better!!

30 Deeds for 30 Days

Problem Girl has came up with a very positive way to celebrate her 30th birthday. For the month of April do a good deed each day.

I just read about it today so I had to come up with a good deed quickly so I made a small donation to Catholic Charities.
